Where are we on EVs in the US?

Lets be clear, I think EVs will come to the US. But I don't think it's going to be an overnight thing. I think this for a few reasons

However, battery technology is changing rapidly. The next generation of batteries will be Sodium Ion. These batteries are already in production. They rely on a mineral that is widely available SODIUM (AKA salt). Sodium Ion batteries work well in very cold temperatures. They have long range capabilites (250 miles or more) and charge quickly. The biggest downside is they are heavier and don't produce the rapid excelaration that LiION batteries do. What we will probably see is a hybrid model of LiION and NAion batteries.
